About Me
Artwork by Laurie G Miller
My Mom taught me the American version of mah jong many years ago, and I loved it then, and love it now. I stopped playing for years, but found a local group and we've been playing together almost every week for 25 years! (See us in the painting, I'm the one in the pink).
We've watched our kids grow from kindergarten to college graduations, weddings, babies, and still growing. It's an incredibly special experience to have this game and this history together.
I started teaching a few years ago, and developed a passion for helping people find the joy in Mah Jong and develop a lifelong love for the game that grows over time.
Former students have said:
"You're an excellent teacher, so patient!"
"It seemed like a lot of information at the beginning but I'm really getting it!"
"I like taking both classes, the learn-to-play to get the basics, and the 2nd class to apply the basics and get more fluent with the game."
I would love to share my passion for the game with you and your friends/family group!
Warm regards,
Rachael 🀄
